Historic Buildings of Winchester – The Trenary House.
Throughout much of the 1800s, the land on which this property now exists passed through several hands in whole or in part, culminating in its conveyance to Samuel Trenary.
Samuel Trenary owned the property at 303 North Braddock Street in the Historic District of Winchester from 1854 until 1868, with the home being built sometime in the years just after its acquisition. Samuel Trenary was a brick mason prior to the Civil War and was a Union Soldier during the war.
Samuel Trenary also served as Sheriff of Frederick County, Virginia in 1866.
