This home is located at 110 West Boscawen Street in the Historic District of Winchester, VA is actually a log home behind the modern facade. It was conveyed by James Wood’s wife, Mary Wood, to Richard Bowen in 1795. He was the publisher of the first newspaper in Winchester’s history called The Sentinel.
The property was conveyed several times before Susan Beemer built the home as it currently stands.
